Race 8 CHOWDER'S FIRST +110 over West Virginia

I'm not really sure why West Virginia is favored here. I don't think he's as good as he was last year, and even then, he lost at 1-2 to Chowder's First at Saratoga. Chowder was in way too tough last time in the Brooklyn Handicap. Its also interesting that Castellano sticks around to ride when he had been riding both Gygistar and Record Buster, both of whom are running at Monmouth in a $150,000 race.

A little surprised that the money seems to be coming in on West Virginia. They seem to love to bet this horse hard almost every race.

Adding one more: race 9th at Belmont. DREAMSTUFF +134 over Doctorinthenews. The top 4 in the June 26 race pretty much ran around the track that way and Dreamstuff was the only horse that really closed into it. I thought he would vie for favoritism with French Fern, so its surprising he's plus money against Doctorinthenews.
