Picks for Belmont Saturday:
R1 #6 Ground Hero-Ran some decent turf races in Chicago. Lightly raced runner makes first start for better barn. JR sees fit to ride here.
R2 #6 Winning Foursome-Pace situation looks favorable for her here. ML fav looks a little vulnerable here and will sure be overbet.
R3 #4 Solewisher-Dynaformer is a decent sire of both FTS and 2yo, not to mention turf runners. Expect this one to be a runner despite the blah morning drills.
R4 #5 Higher Approval-Ran OK even though he was pressured on an honest pace first time out. Pace picture should be more favorable today. Makes switch to excellent ES jock here.
R5 #7 Waytotheleft-Showed much improved speed last out when engaging on the outside of a 3 way duel. Pace picture looks rosier today if she’s sent.
R6 Pass
R7 #2 Diamond Isle-Showed talent as a 2yo competing in grades stakes. Shows some good sprint efforts in his past lines. Should get an honest pace to run at here.
R8 #6 Summerly-I’m thinking this will be a jocks race and I just see Bailey giving this one the perfect ride.
R9 #5 Seven Bellsforbaba-More than likely will establish a clear lead here. Expect an improved effort here.
