They are taking the races "off the dirt" and moving them to the turf, have never seen that before!

I think they do that at Turf Paradise also - dirt track drainage really sucks (I guess that would be doesn't suck :confused: ). Anyway the dirt track is more vulnerable to adverse weather than the turf course.

They did it on Saturday and Sunday, and some races yesterday, but not all. I don't know about today yet.

Cj, do they get as many scratches as when it is taken off the turf? :confused:
Most of the horses stayed in the races, not nearly like the mass exodus that takes place the other way around.

I supposed these races would only go turf if weather and conditions permitted. Nothing wrong with the dirt course. 5 of the 7 entered in yesterdays 2nd, which was moved to the turf, were coming off turf starts.
I guess they think they get less off-the-turf scratches this way, but it is strange.
