1/2 dozen stories on the Preakness

Chicago Sun Times reports rumors of "heat" in WE front ankles.
Could be those floating chips

and so it goes

A sad state of affairs when six of the Preakness starters are racing on "LA". In Maryland, the "L" stands for lasix (furosemide) while the "A" stands for adjunct bleeder medications in addition to the lasix. Yes, that is an "s" at the end of medication for it can be one or more of many different drugs. Cocktail heaven! A real shame that this is allowed in such a prestigious race.

Great story on the stewards and decisions. I found it on that site mentioned by Karlskorner - the geocities.nyracing site.

Good article. It kind of reminds me of my perception of NHL referees. A penalty is a penalty, unless it is the third period of a close playoff game, sometimes.
