Iraq mail

To those who would know such things:

I'm sending some stuff via Priority Mail to a soldier in Iraq. If I send it today, when might I expect it to be in his hands?

Most of my "care" packages arrive between 3 days and 2 weeks. It all depends where the soldier is stationed and what the transportation situation is that week. No matter, keep on sending. The most appreciated items seem to be junk food and magazines. Pack 'um well and don't send perishable items.

This guy had requested some t-shirts from one of my websites for the soldiers under him for an upcoming R & R at the end of July. Hopefully they will arrive in time...

Stuff took anywhere from one to four weeks to get to me. Mostly it depended on the time of year. Christmas took forever because of the volume of packages.
