Picks for Hollywood Saturday:
R1 Pass-ML fav is a question mark.
R2 #5 Rainbow Girl-Sports a couple of solid drills for new barn. Gets a major jock upgrade here as well.
R3 #3 Raise a Tune-Didn’t run badly in US debut when he had a bit of trouble at the start. Gets a positive jock switch today as trainer puts up his go-to guy Desormeaux. Will need a clean trip to move up here.
R4 #6 Taylor’s Cantada-Not yet a proven loser at this level. Ran well enough in her debut, and barn does well with 2nd out runners.
R5 #8 Cosmic Glitter-Showed a liking for this course/distance in the past. Fired as a FTS so I’m not too scared of the layoff. Barn is adept at returning layoff runners and the price should be decent.
R6 #3 Bills Paid-Came up short in first off a layoff. Takes the plunge into this suspect group and he has enough back class and early speed for me to take a shot at a price.
R7 #2 Soupy-Didn’t run badly in turf debut. ML fav didn’t beat him by much in last, he can turn the tables with the right trip today.
R8 #4 River’s Prayer-Yet to be headed or challenged. Short price likely so may use only in serial bets.
R9 #5 Cocha Bamba-Will likely move up with the surface switch. Barn does pretty decent with the dirt/turf move. Some decent am moves since debut also.
