Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R1 #4 June the Tiger-Had trouble in last start here. Makes a suspicious drop off a claim, but the frequent am drills show she may not be that unsound.
R2 #7 Team Player-Looking for him to establish a clear lead again here. Hoping the class drop will enable him to stick around a lot longer.
R4 #4 Dixie Avenger-Trainer/jock combo a good one, and this one should enjoy the added distance.
R5 Pass
R6 #7 Sliding Home-Should find himself competitive in this field. Back quickly for money run.
R7 #7 Calculator-He’s been running well lately and this seems to be his best distance. Not too fond of the ML fav.
R8 #5 Friendly Michelle-May not have been well meant last time off the lengthly layoff. Some decent drills since that effort, improvement seems likely. Bailey gets the ride today.
R9 #9 Malaysia-Had an eventful trip last time when trying to close into a fast final fraction. Has some steady drills since then, expecting a better effort today.
