Herer is an ambitious campaign.

You got that right. The Melbourne Cup and the Arc de Triompe. The MC is over 2 miles in length and I think they usually get over 20 runners in the thing. Hope it happens but my guess is highly unlikely. Remember a couple of years ago the owners of Toccet of all things set there sights on the Arc without even a turf race under his belt - then he had a miserable workout on the turf and his subsequent dirt career went south as well. At least KJ is an American turf champ it would be nice to see it happen.

Toccet was poorly managed by his ignorant owner, you can't really compare the two in respect to being pointed toward the Arc...but I see what you're saying. Toccet's owner basically ruined him. At least Kitten's Joy, if he wins the Firecracker and the Million, will be going over there with some kind of chance for a good showing

That would rule out a return try at the Breeders Cup. The Melbourne Cup will be run Nov. 1 this year.

Good for them. It's a refreshing change to see owners of a champion setting their sites high. Kick ass, Kitten!
