Has anyone ever had a computer problem like the following?:
Today, when I clicked on the icon of a MS-DOS computer handicapping program, I got the following Windows error message:
16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM 32\AUTOEXEC.NT. THE SYSTEM FILE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RUNNING MS-DOS AND MICROSOFT WINDOWS APPLICATIONS.
--I checked another MS-DOS handicapping program, and I got the following message:
16 BIT MS-DOS SUBSYSTEM, with the same error message below the title.
--The other handicapping programs which I have, are Windows-based and they work just fine.
--So my question is, do I possibly have a corrupt file? If so, can I correct this situation myself with some easy-to-do-remedy, or does it appear I may have to take the computer to a repair shop?
--If there are some PACE ADVANTAGE computer experts out there who can give me some helpful advice, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
