Giacomo almost won the Derby and the Preakness, if Afleet's jockey would have fallen off or Afleet went down, Afleet would have finished LAST, and SCRAPPY T would have been taken down and place behind Afleet Alex. That would have put up Giacomo as the winner of the Preakness.

If Afleet Alex had fallen, the horses (at least some of them) behind may have pulled up and scattered like bowling pins. Nobody can definitively say what would have happened under that scenario. And, thankfully we do not have to find out!
