Tonight, horse opened at 2-5, stayed there and ended going off at 3-5. I'm waiting for the investigation at that dump Penn National.

1 Northern Glory 3.20 2.80 4.80
8 Sweetoldgirl 3.00 12.40
4 Court Angel 8.80

8 was second choice at 7-2, 4 was 9-2.

I didn't look at the PPS, but there is one thing I found extremely strange.

The number 9 horse, ran out of the money at 90/1.

Yet the 9 horse had $8,103 out of the $11,678 in the show pool.

The #1, who won at 3/5, only had $1,600 in the show pool.
The #8, at 7/2, had $446 bet to show
The #4, at 9/2, had $667 bet to show.

Did somebody goof and hammer the 9 instead of the 1?

If there still is some betting operation that pays track prices and doesn't comingle into the mutuel pool, I'd start there. There was some thought behind this. I saw the form and the horse looked like he couldn't lose and he won easy, and the 8 grand on a 90-1 pig was the key to huge payday somewhere. Well executed. Congrats to the scammer(s).
