Here is a new Firefox extension that may interest some of the programming types out there. On first reading, it appears to provide a hook to dynamically control browser functionality during the rendering of webpages that you are viewing. Could be interesting to play with.

Caveat: I've just come across this and am not familiar enough with its functionality (or the damage it can do :)) to endorse it. I've seen that Opera is adding similar functionality http://www.opera.com/support/tutorials/userjs/, so at least in concept it's not too far out there.
