Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R1 #1 Westmoreland-Bred to love turf and distance. Should be able to get the lead here, and there were two wire to wire winners yesterday on the turf course. My DD key.
R2 #3 Capitulation-Ran into a couple of tigers in her last two. Winner of her last went on to win a graded stakes. Has been working well in the am since. Tough to go against, a cold double may be the play.
R3 #5 Too Risky-Has very good win breeding and the trainer does ok with mcl FTS. Prado sees fit to ride and there’s a few nice works on the tab.
R4 #1 Sahm Iahm-Makes first start for superior barn. Trainer/jock 2/7 on the turf together with both winners long odds. Breeding says he should like it and he ran 3rd the only time he tried it.
R5 #3 Edge Road-Trainer/jock 3/8 with runners stretching out. Added distance should help, not much to beat here.
R6 #3 Kevin’s Decision-Trainer/jock/horse are 1/1. Nice drill on the turf course a few days ago.
R7 Pass. ML fav looks tough
R8 #5 Certifiably Crazy-Has fired off a layoff before. Not much early speeed to contend with here.
R9 #8 Gibbons Terrace-Looking for a better effort today with a return to his favorite surface. Price should be decent
