I've been looking forward to seeing Lost in the Fog at Golden Gate Fields in the Golden Bear so I can see exactly how fast this horse runs and maybe yell at the owner for not running him in the Derby as I throw my useless Pool 1 ticket at him.

The entries came out today and he's facing only TWO other contenders. Both have Beyers that top out at 85 which Lost in the Fog can run backwards. Is a 1/9 morning line possible?

I'm telling you right now, GGF will be praying for increased beer sales to make up for that negative win pool.

Remember, this is GGF. Could be a couple of scratches before it runs.

Some hungry trainer could have made 7500 just for entering a fourth horse.
7500 for taking a jog around the track isn't bad.

Too bad he isn't running against somebody good because he didn't get a great pace figure in the Bay Shore. He really made those older horses in the Carter look like monsters.

The way the pace came up in the Derby it looks like the decision not to run was a good one. I think that Gilchrest is going to have to ship out, otherwise he's going to be facing a lot of 4 horse fields up here. (which he probably doesn't mind).

I pick Wind Water to beat Lost in the Fog Saturday!

I was right and I was just trying to be funny! Lost in the Fog is a 1/9 morning line favorite. Too bad I couldn't put any money down on that guess.

We had a thread about 1/5 morning line favorites which happen maybe once every 2 months but has anyone ever seen a 1/9?

Do they ever make M/L's for walk-overs? - probably not, but I thought I'd ask :)

Box exacta and wins on the other two. I'll risk $6.00.
Baze will be signing autigraphs ao he'll be distracted. He's been moving horses too soon at Norcal and being headed in the stretch lately. Worth the risk.

I blew $4 on longshots but I saw a track record broken!

3 Lost in the Fog: spurted clear, under rating hold, never asked, easily
1 Wind Water: bobbled start, chased pace, saved ground, 2d best
2 Olympic Miler: outrun early, brief bid 3/8s, gave out stretch
My pick got a bad start! No wonder Lost won! Let's see the media reports on this raxe! LOL!
