Here is a look at how the top trainers did in the Graded races Oaks and Derby day.

Zito: 4/6 under ran their odds. (if public choice #2 for example, ran worse than 2nd)
Frankel: 3/4
Pletcher: 3/5
Mullins: 0/2
Dutrow: 1/1

excluding the Derby:

Zito: 1/2
Frankel: 2/3
Pletcher: 2/3
Mullins:0/1
Dutrow: 1/1

Hard for me to from any strong opinion on such a small sample...if you did think their performance was poor due to improved drug testing, then is the much maligned Mullins the cleanest of the bunch?

When are these improved drug tests going to be implemented at all Graded events?

In NY, the new drug testing protocol as advocated by the Graded Stakes Committee (chaired by Steven Duncker of NYRA) is in full effect. There are 79 mandatory drugs and 61 optional drugs in this protocol.
