I make my own pace and speed ratings. I had 3 horses that had run in the
(90's-very high for my figs). All others(my contenders) ran figs in 80's.
1. Giacomo 98
2. Wilko 96
3. Don't Get Mad 96

All 3 horses figs from San Felipe at Santa Anita, wet footing ,no track variant in DRF for that race.So instead of believing in these figs I deducted 20 pts from each fig.More realistic so I thought.I also Jacked up the figs from horses that ran in Florida. These preps had no track variants in DRF.Thought they were on the low side.I now know how Beyer feels not believing in his own numbers!Of course next year I won't make adjustments and the result will be the same-Wrong Horse :( Live and Learn :D

PS; Consolidator might have won this race if not injured. He won San Felipe.

How do your numbers differ as to the math and adjustments?

Everyone uses their own system.Mine is based on(par) pace fig + final 1/4...1/8 use of a par. Then use track variant to adjust.(I adjust DRF track variant to my own),most handicappers have no use for these.Weird thing about my figs is the par figs are based on 50 were others are based on 100
-ex(Giacomo, San Felipe figs=pace46 + closing52=final speed fig98)

I'm a weekend warrior so I keep system simple as possible.
Don't want to boor you anymore-lol.
