Picks for Belmont Saturday:
R1 #9 To the Good Times-Trainer/jock 2/4 with FTS the last two years. Dam has dropped a couple of FTS winners also. Catches a very weak field for debut.
R2 #5 Executive Choice-Ships in and shortens up for powerhouse barn. Expect to see him on the lead in this heat.
R3 #9 Token of Affection-Another weak field and another FTS that I like. Migs is 3/8 riding FTS for Hushion the last 2 years.
R4 #10 Rove-Breeding says he should move up on the turf. Lasix and added distance shouldn’t hurt either.
R5 #4 Positively Wild-Barn does well with the dirt/turf move. This runner ran well ok on the grass last year. Both tries were on yielding surfaces, and she gets firm turf today.
R6 #3 Cerium-Don’t normally bet mcl runners stepping up into MSW, but that will help the odds here. Comes out of key heat where 3 runners have returned to win, with the horse that beat him returning to win twice. Nice drill earlier this week too.
R7 Pass
R8 #7 Quite a Ruckus-Probably didn’t get the best of trips last time. Looking for a better effort today at a price.
R9 #5 Town Charmer-Didn’t run badly in second start for new barn. Might battle for the lead today, price should be good.
