Have to agree with him :Crist: "If the Derby were the sixth race on a
Thursday, most rational horseplayers would turn the
page and pass. There are way too many variables and a
20-horse field almost ensures trouble and chaos."

I guess I'm not rational.
I'm always in a pool where I can get better odds than I think a horse should be. The Kentucky Derby is the epitome of a race that usually offers multiple overlays.
Steve Crist is a pick six player not a win bettor.

I don't agree, its a 20 horse field, but many are completely hopeless, and you can score BIG in this race. I think I've passed one Derby, when FuPeg won, just didn't like anything. There has to be an overlay in there somewhere!

I'm not rational either, I guess the big scores I've had on Charasmatic & Monarchos will discourage me from taking a shot with Wilko this year.

A word of encouragement. Andy Harrington, my clocker at Hollywood Park, thought he has trained spectacularly out of his race in Santa Anita Derby.

Good luck to you. I'm using Wilko on my P4 ticket for that reason.
