how about picking the last place horse in the Derby? If you think picking a winner is tough, how about the horse to finish last? And if you want to look like a real pro, give the beaten lengths:D

Danthebluegrassman....25 lengths. Wild Horses could be stout competition for the highly prized last place finish.

Picking the last horse is fun. I often thought that bookies should offer that as a bet. However, the chance for fraud would be high. Realistically speaking however, the "winner" of the last place award usually is a horse who is either burned up by the pace real bad or DNF's or is WAY too slow.

This year, I wonder how in the world Proud Citizen is going to handle running back so quick after having the lead (shockingly) all by himself at Keeneland. He WILL have company up front on Saturday.

Let's call it Proud Citizen in a guess. I hope no horse gets hurt, though.

I'll never hear the end of this one!
I was half right...he was all by himself at the wire.

Time for a vacation from racing for a while.....lawn mowing is starting to look good.
