I'd be the first to poke fun at too much PC stuff but this is not right. And speaking as a father of a daughter and not a son I still don't see how they can come up with this crap. Are girls the only ones that need to be educated about career options? I know growing up I didn't have much direction for career options and I was from lilly white middle class suburbia.
My daughter had gone to my work a couple times in the past but this year her school district made it an official day off. The kids reaction? "It's better to go your work than school, but far better to take a vacation day than to go to the adult workplace." I can't say I blame them.
