Looks like we're almost on the same page.

Let's see how they do.

In 10 races, making a possible 11 win bets, we Had 6 winners of which
4 were unbettable because they were under 3-1 odds.
The 2 playable winners paid $ 10.40 and $ 11.80.
So we ended up with a very short profit ( a virtual break even).
The exacta picks showed 3 exactas won at a minus ROI (less then a -20%
ROI). If I had bet my 2 win choices in each race I still would have come up short. ????????? :bang:

After reviewing the charts, I adjusted my odds cut-off number to 4-1 and
found that I would have had 9 playable contenders which would have given me a 23% ROI.
If I would have made win bets only and stayed away from the exactas I would have shown a reasonable profit.

You live and you learn.
