To those doing pars, pace, times, etc. for the turf keep in mind that the temp. rails ( dogs ) were out as much as 90 feet, more so the past 30/45 days.

Is it true that they are about to change the start/finish for 1 1/8 (dirt) races?

Hey Dave,

They lengthened the run up around a month ago 30 feet I believe. I haven't heard about a change in the finish line. I doubt they would do it now with so few days left in the meet.

Sunday is the last day, Monday we are at CRC. They have 9 months to put it all together, no doubt there will be some changes. My understanding from DRF is that they are going to use this years times plus the 2 previous years to come up with their S/R and Var. There is a lot more work to be done on both tracks, so what ever numbers were garned from this years meet I doubt will hold up next year. It has been an interesting 90 days, sat under a banyan tree at a picnic table with a 50' screen in front of me and just a short walk to the paddock. I really enjoyed it.
