In all actuality, i guess it isnt complete bridge jumping as it is only 3/4 of the show pool, but still a large chunk of it. BTW, someone pointed it out to me before the race, and I got some of their money :eek:

A ten-horse field seems pretty large for a gambit like that, at least to me. Somebody needs to brush up on their Essentials of Taking the Plunge. :cool:

Seriously, what I an curious about is the show bets larger than the place bets for the 1 and 2 post horses. Is that due to the post position? The low posts all finished out of the money.

I wonder if a few people realized the unsually large number on the 3 and just played them all to place? I know one guy who did for $5, so if a couple more did, that could easily make the show larger than the place for the 1 and 2 when there is that little bet on a horse

Gadamnit. My autobetter hit the $7000 button instead of the $7 dollar button again. That's the 4th time that's happened! Two more times and I'm not going to use it anymore!!

Just wanted to thank cj for doing his figs for Mtnr. now. I normally don't buy mon., tues., or pm forms, but I may now. With my intense knowledge of the form :D and cj's figs, I just might give mtnr a try. Like today, no Red Sox tonight, good night to play.

The reason there was more money to show than place on longshots is because you have a lot of guys who watch the mutuel pools. Moutaineer on Tuesday night has no competition from other thoroughbred tracks, so everybody can focus on it. Everybody sends in their show money, and it all adds up.

As I write this in the 5th at MNR the #4 has 60% of the show pool. Am going to take a shot.
