Racing information for 26 March 2005 - www.empowerisv.com

10.55AM AEST - Randwick R1 No1 Paratroopers - 2.0% Win - Hard to dismiss the chances of Paratroopers in this. Having 5th career start and bred decently by hot young sire son of Danehill, Commands. Go on big win last start 1400m Listed race by 3.8 lengths over Astronomia and Dower with further good margins back through the field. 2nd up 2 back was beaten 3 lengths by Snitzel and Stratum and 3 back finished a very good close 2nd to smart Melbourne filly Hillfa. Carries extra weight but won with total authority last start and will handle the step to 1600m with ease getting a near perfect trip on pace here. Empower ISV Factor - 90%

11.40AM AEST - Kyneton R1 No6 Beacon Heights - 1.5% Win - This shapes as a race in two between Beacon Heights and Penhale. Decided to go with the well bred Beacon Heights who is by Xaar and comes into this race on the back of finishing 2nd last start Cranbourne 1600m maiden beaten 1 length by Mangiare with good margins back through the field. Steps to 1850m today which will definitely suit and perfectly drawn from the 1 alley to box seat on a slow pace and with a superior turn of foot should hold Penhale at bay in the stretch. Empower ISV Factor - 82%

12.05PM AEST - Eagle Farm R1 No1 Aristocracy - 1.5% Win - Went with the superbly bred Danehill filly Aristocracy in this. Having 2nd career start on back of good win last start abliet tight margins when got shuffled back on poin t of turn to 5th then came again to grab Cookie Stardust on the wire over 1110m at Doomben. Ran impressive time that day and step to 1200m should totally suit. Form references out of that race stand up for this and likely to secure a good run on pace 3rd or 4th and with the turn of foot shown last start should close off and beat these. Empower ISV Factor - 83%

12.15PM AEST - Randwick R3 No7 Caught Courting - 1.0% Win - Went with the big last start improver Caught Courting in this. Last start put the writing on the wall with a strong 2400m Class 6 win at Warwick Farm 2.5*1.5 lengths over Impetuous Amour and Woodala. Strong form references for this. Mummify is the class runner but at the weights will find this too big of an ask. Superbly bred by Danehill out of Let's Elope. Stable firing and looks very well weighted in on the minimum. Repeat of its last start win will see it go two on end here Empower ISV Factor - 75%

12.40PM AEST - Newcastle R3 No6 Main Game - 2.0% Win - This yard is firing at present and this very well bred colt by Danehill, Main Game does look perfectly placed to break its maiden status at 5th career start. Put the writing on the wall last start when finished 2nd beaten 0.2 lengths by Comarca over 1300m. 3rd up now fitter will go forward from the decent alley for a good run on pace and with a superior turn of foot in the stretch should hold sway on the closers. One of the best bets of the day. Empower ISV Factor - 90%

1.20PM AEST - Newcastle R4 No7 Melody - 1.5% Win - This shapes as a race in two between Melody and Cezanne. Went with the Waterhouse trained Melody by Stravinsky who is 1st up here but prepared for this with good trial win in good time over 808m at Warwick Farm. Go on last start 2nd to Somethin leicajem beaten 0.5 lengths over 1400m. Today faces 1300m assignment and the biggest query is drawn wide so will have to cross from a bad alley and race on pace as style suggests. May get caught wide. Still has the class to win here and should break maiden status today. Empower ISV Factor - 81%

1.35PM AEST - Randwick R5 No8 Fashions Afield - 0.5% Win - A very good edition of the Sires Produce greets us here and Fashions Afield should be able to atone for its last start 2nd to Stratum in the Golden Slipper. This is over 1400m and last start Fashions Afield got back worse than midfield early and then flew home late to only be beaten 1 length by Stratum in the Golden Slipper. Won three on end before that and on two occassions dictated pace infront so can come from behind or go forward which is a big advantage here with the wide alley. Query runners do exist but Fashions Afield does look to have the edge here over 1400m and can turn the tables on Stratum today. Empower ISV Factor - 73%

1.55PM AEST - Caulfield R5 No10 Refute - 1.0% Win - Decided to go with the classy improver Refute in this. Comes into this race after last start finishing 3rd Flkemington 2000m welter, forget the run as is better than that. Prefer to go on good win 2 back M Valley 2040m when came from 3rd on the turn to run down Many Are Called and Davidoff. Form references through Davidoff 3rd and Taureg 4th suggest a very strong form reference for today and gives Refute a good 2-3k pull at the weights over Kounthekash's best form. Very well bred by Zabeel and drawn to get a near perfect trip on pace from the 3 alley. Obvious query runners exist but if Refute put its best foot forward it should have the class to win this. Empower ISV Factor - 75%

2.15PM AEST - Randwick R6 No4 Xcellent - 1.0% Win - Xcellent is having its 1st start here over from New Zealand and so far in short career has won 4 from 4 including New Zealand Derby 2 back over 2400m at Group 1 level. Freshened for last start win also at Group 1 against the older horses over 2000m when defeated St Reims and Lashed 1.8*0.5 lengths with further good margins back through a small but top class field. Form reference through King Johnny suggests has 1.5 kg pull at the weights over Stella Grande who beat King Johnny last start. Drawn wide but can go forward for a good run in transit and with a superior turn of foot this Pentire gelding will sprint quickly in the stretch to make it 5 wins from 5 starts. Top class proven stayer who could develop into anything. Empower ISV Factor - 79%

2.25PM AEST - Oakbank R6 No1 Caracoler- 1.5% Win - This is a race full of mostly tried stayers with the one exception Caracoler. Very hard to go past the classy Argentinan bred Caracoler here who is having it's 1st start in the country after formerly racing in Hong Kong and now with Tony McEvoy and the Australian Hayes base. Go on good effort 2 back when 3.7l 3rd to Industrial Success at Group 3 level over 2400m at Sha Tin in The Queen Mother Memorial Cup. 1st up for nearly 12 months but will be ready for this and is the class runner and one to beat despite the weight impost. Drawn wide and can go forward or go back with equal effect and weight impost do pose minor queries. Also note gear changes of Nose Roll off and tongue Tie on. Empower ISV Factor - 80%

2.35PM AEST - Caulfield R6 No10 Love Jeddah - 1.5% Win - Very difficult to dismiss the chances of the Tony McEvoy trained Love Jeddah in this. Superbly bred by Danehill out of the very good producer Fayfa and is 2nd up now on the back of winning an Ararat 1100m 3yo maiden 1.8*3.5 lengths with further good margins back through the field. Form references read very well out of that race for today. Also go on 1st career start when 2nd 1000m 2yo Group 2 beaten 1.3 lengths by Sanziro. Fitter for 1st up win and is going along very well now. Can make it two on end here. Empower ISV Factor - 82%

2.45PM AEST - Eagle Farm R5 No1 Celtic Trial - 1.5% Win - Celtic Trial comes into this race carrying 60.5kgs and is weighted to his best but at last 4 starts has been absolutely flying winning 3 of 4 including last start 3.5 length win over Bails and Image Of Reality with further big gaps through the field indicating the overal depth of the performance. Minor queries come from Mail Train, Concitare and Champion Star but Celtic Trial can cross from the 9 alley for a good sit on pace under a slow tempo alleviating the weight impost and when asked should sprint quickly and prove hard to hold out. Empower ISV Factor - 84%

3.00PM AEST - Randwick R7 No2 Glamour Puss - 2.0% Win - Decided to lean towards the consistent improver Glamour Puss in what shapes as a race in 2 between it and Alizes with a few minor queries around Steflara. Alizes shapes as the likely leader here and Glamour Puss should get a good sit off her. Taking the form reference through Glamour Puss 2 lengths 2nd to Alinghi last start suggests Glamour Puss has a 2-3kg pull at the weights here over Alizes through Tahini Girl form refrences. Well bred by Tale of The Cat and shapes as the one to toss here. With Alizes now scratched thismorning glamour Puss looks even harder to toss and now stands up as one of the best bets of the day. Empower ISV Factor - 88%
