Web TV

My sister is looking into getting Web TV. Anyone have any experience wtih this? Is it worhtwhile, or are there a lot of thing you cannot do wtih it?
She mainly wants email, the ability to search out things of interest andmaybe print out some things. She won't be using any programs or anyhting like that, so a computer in not really in her needs.

Everything I have heard about it has been negative.. Never have heard one good thing..

With MSN on my computer I get free Webtv. 50-60 spam emails per day, but I just dump them.

No viruses or bugs, spyware as it is only a browser.
It is fairly easy to use and lots of instructions in Webtv discussion groups.
I send myself email notes on racing and go a lot of research like genealogy.
It is not a cheap computer. It is only really for visiting and saving websites and email functions and is a lot less hassle than a computer.
It is really best for HTML only so a small % of sites are not accessible.
My dad does a lot of printing with it a likes it fine.
