You would'nt happen to know Hodgons professional background would you?

The way its worded... talking about Financial matters.. makes me think he's a bean counter....structural guy... rather than a business development guy. I assume they're shutting off the cash spout and going to go with what they have... I'd expect more corner cutting and a scale back.

From the 9-16-2004 Thoroughbred Times reports -
MI Developments also announced some changes to its board of directors and senior staff, as William Sutton resigned as a director for personal and family reasons, and Thomas Hodgson signed on. Hodgson is the president of Strategic Analysis Corp. and a former executive with several Canadian financial institutions.

MEC also recently got rid of the guy in the States who was selling HRTV to cable operators, Bill Bridgen. Guess he wasn't selling enough cable systems, but that's a tough sell. Even TVG is only in about 4 million cable homes (rest are satellite).
Not his fault.

Cable operators see it as a very very niche market and as far as making money by people betting in their areas, it's not all that much and they are concentrating on other much more promising revenue generating areas such as telephony, video on demand, and HDTV.
