Del Mar vs. Saratoga

I will be out in San Diego this September and will be able to catch a few days at Del Mar. I have never been there before. I was curious how it compared to Saratoga.. I was there one year and loved it.

Live in Los Angeles since 79. I spent a week at Saratoga in 87.

Comparison

Saratoga is more compact, everything is in the same general area.

Del Mar is right on the ocean and has its benefits. The track is about 20 miles from San Diego. Lots more places to see other than the races.

You should like Del Mar and the area. If ou are going to the races make sure you get reserved seating for the weekends, otherwise you will be standing.

Other than the races what are you interested in.

If you look ahead of time there are some great places to eat in the surrounding area.
