..seems like Edgarin James may sign with the Dolphins as early as tomorrow.. Wants to go back 'home'..

That would have to be a big blow to Peyton and the boys..

Dominick Rhodes stepped in when The Edge got hurt and gained over 1100 yards and 4.7 ypc so I don't think the falloff will be as big as one thinks. Running back is probably the easiest position to replace. They also can take some of that money they'd save and put it into their defense. As good as that offense is, until they improve defensively, they won't get to a Super Bowl.

I emailed my friend who works for the Indy Star. He said it was just wishful thinking on the part of a Miami reporter. The Colts don't plan to let The Edge get away.

Oh, I actually saw it on an interview on ESPN with James.. He said he would like to come home to play for Miami 'someday'..

That certainly leaves a big window though..

I think Miami is looking toward S.Alexander (just a hunch).

Looks like Edgarin actually might be traded after all..

Fire the coach too. I think he stinks. He's never gone anywhere in the playoffs. The defense is suspect, and the offense is too explosive. Do I hear more defense?

If he goes, I'm sure you'll see them get a run-stopping linebacker in return. The Colts just can't stop the run. When they get a big lead at home, its not much of a factor but when they get in a dogfight with teams that are more physical than them (the Pats and Steelers come to mind), they're going to have trouble. Dominick Rhodes isn't quite James, but he did a great job filling in when James blew out his knee a couple years ago.

Damn, wish the Eagles would have gone after James.. What an addition he would have been..

Hey Sq-

Maybe you Eagle fans can get your wish 6 years after the fact. Ricky Williams might come back and I don't think he and the Dolphins want anything to do with one another. Oakland and Arizona have already signed free agent RBs so there's only so many places he could go.

Nah, we don't need another pot smoking lazy ass on the Philly sports scene.. Iverson is enough for all 4 teams..
