Take the 9 out of it and I have the tri for a $1. Wouldn't of had the place horse in a million years.

A few guys had the 8 to win in the WR (at least Craig and BIG RED - sorry if I missed anyone). I don't think anyone had the ex. or better but I'm sure they will speak up if they did :p.

I had the # 9 to Win, only. I did not bet him to Place or Show. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Man, CRAIG + BigRED scored on what i thought was a total 3-leg penguin.
I asked "cj, HOW did u reckon #8? ... 41:1 ... well that's what makes it
a gamble ... earlier, a FAV at ~7:5, and deserving 2 be so, but of course,
us WR guys wouldn't stand for IT to win. What happened? Mig, the jock
on that Fav, fell off, & a few of us kissed Lady Luck. The EX = $190.
hehehe ... this caprice is DeF one reason why I Love Betting Horses.
Hey, gotta go, have FuN --- and join us in the WR.

The horse had top last out fig, though it was on the grass. The horse isn't bred at all for grass, so I gotta hope for a repeat on dirt. The figure wasn't the main factor for me though, it was a combination of things, mainly, the trainer change. Throw in a HORRID field with a top fig and the new, good connections, and 40-1 was worth a shot. Actually 30-1 when I bet.

Side note: I couldn't believe I only got $35 in the place hole with an 89-1 shot running 2nd!

Cj has been exceptionally good the past couple weeks, he gave me the $85 dollar which I never bet on then came right back with the 11 horse at SA that paid $15 to win. Thanx again bro cause that play turned out sweet. ;)

cj,
Good hit. First you identified it as a ratrace, then you went hunting for a plausible longpig. Well done.

Why can't I be around the WR when $85 winners are being given out?

i had $20 to win on the #9 and only $2 to place
he was only 39-1 in the daily double pools
anyhow insider picks report commented he was by a hot trainer coming out of a key race plus the fact that equisim summary pace screen had him as 2nd e2+late if you onlytook the best of last two races of each horse in the race.

rumor has it was a jockey's room race, notice the apprentice's finished one/two. Bridgemohan's agent and a few others (journeymen) left the track with a bundle. Doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to, but still happens.

What you gotta do is find out what Jockeys wives are pregant. And sure enough... right after the wife has the Kid, He gets to the winners Circle for a decent purse.

I watch these Jockey at Suffolk. 85% of them speak primarily Spanish. They are tight. I sorta-kinda hang with them unofficially. Actually , I'm pretty good friends with Freddy Clemente who is riding at Tampa now, and Freddy is pretty popular. He has 5 or 6 Jockeys and a bunch of track rats over his house 3 or 4 nights a week. I like to pop my head in and get a sniff of whats going on. That "Just had a baby angle" is my Favorite..

I ended up playing 3-8-11 boxed. Which comes down to 1st, 2nd last, and last. The last two I'm familiar with :D
