I see that Jami C Poole has a horse running at Mountaineer tonight

I was wondering if she is the daughter of George Poole III

George Poole III trained in Ny in the 70's & 80's

My brother used to hit some nice longshots with him

He had a stake horse but the name escapes me

Something with Table in it . Not Quiet Little table , maybe Banquet Table ?

Jami is the SON of Jack Poole Sr. Jack Jr is kinda self explanatory, and i dont know who Jeffrey is. Both Jack's and Jami run at MNR, and occasionally an Ohio track or Ky track

hi all:

Jami Poole is from the Poole family that I believe is from Ohio. Dad is Jack, a real operator from way back (I say that with affection, of course). They would often winter at Tampa Bay Downs and for a few years in the late 1980s/early 1990s, sent a stable to Atlantic City when that old storied track ran a full meet.

The 'other' Pooles are a different clan.

Father George Poole is a New York bred and trained for many society types, including Mary Lou Whitney, currently of Birdstone fame. I believe he is still alive but not real sure of that and if so, I think lives in Saratoga Springs. At least he did the last time I was part of the 'scene'.

George's son is Tim Poole, a somewhat accomplished horseman who raced on a very smaller scale but is now the top N.Y. asst. for one of the power trainers there, either Steve Asmussen or Richard Dutrow...not 100%l sure but I believe it is Asmussen.

Yours in racing.
