WOW,How horrible!! Lisa was just chatting with him yesterday morn as they rode to the track together.Great guy and can ride too!

Always sad to hear these kinds of things. For us, the race is just a minute or so of fun to watch/wager. For them, every leg up is potentially life threatening.

Gary is now out of a induced coma and is responding by moving his fingers when asked. Javier Castalano was there with my wife yesterday and the nurse told them that he is responding very well,. He did have to have his head operated on to releive the pressure on his brain.They said everything is going well.Will keep you updated.

"The latest CAT scan showed the swelling in his brain has gone down, and he continues to be more and more responsive to doctor's commands," said Moran. "His nurse even told us Gary briefly opened his eyes this morning, which is a good sign, although he is still being kept in an induced coma at this time."
