I'm trying to open up my laptop and am stuck. I've taken out every single screw and am now left with what looks like two fasteners with a smooth top in a tight hole so that I can't use a screwdriver on them nor drip pliers into the tiny hole to unscrew/remove them.
It's a Compaq Presario 2590.
It's got to be these two remaining fasteners because I can lift up the entire frame except for the part near these pieces.

Any clues on what to do???

Andi,
Have you asked the tech guys online? Should have ideas.

Funny you mention that Andy. I just opened my old Sony VAIO laptop, with a crowbar  , the thing just quit and died on me a year or two ago, so I decided to dissect it into a million pieces. That was fun :D Amazing how must stuff in in such a small box. A mechanical masterpiece. I still have my Dell laptop and it better be on its best behavior :p
