Fairly recently I purchased a pair of slip joint pliers that were "Made in Japan." They reminded me of my old Made in the USA craftsman pliers. Very well made... you can see the Japanese took pride in manufactoring them.

I'm not a snob when it comes to buying from other countries.

Nevertheless, I would like to know if you guys and or gals would stick your neck out and recommend a product that's still made in the USA.

Here's my pick that I think others on this board might like.

I would stick my neck out and vouch for Pioneer. This wallet is world class imo. I also use their leather lifting straps every week. (they'll last a lifetime)

Who do you vouch for?

All time favorite of mine.

Camber Hooded Sweatshirts - they're thermal lined. I'm about 5' 11"
and buy the tall version. Have one of the old school double lined industrial ones and it's a beast for cold weather.

This last winter I purchased another zip up hoodie that's a bit lighter.

https://allusaclothing.com/view-all-brands/camber/camber-531-chill-buster-zip-hooded-sweatshirt-usa-made.html

They're a bit expensive... but they're made in America and very high quality imo. Even the zipper is nice.

Nothing special... but it's a solid hoodie that I would vouch for.
The double lined one is a world class item. At least it use to be.

Paul Reed Smith American made guitars are top shelf. Fender USA built as well. Any Fender product not made in the U.S. is a crap shoot.

Wife and I just recently received an award from our parent company for treatment of our employees. I didn’t think much of it until I logged into the “rewards” website. The rewards were worth about $1500 bucks. They had a very nice selection of products to choose from.

I got a new Apple M2 PowerBook and a Japanese made Takamine Guitar. Worth about $700 retail. I’ve always heard good things about them. I actually have tried to buy one twice before and had them sell out before I could get to the store. I have always been against buying online, because I wanted to get the feel of a piece before I decide on it.

I’ve owned about 25 guitars in my life. I currently have 12 here at my house and my brother has several of mine at his house.

I’ve got a few guitars worth more than a grand but have never pulled the trigger on a $2-3k Taylor etc. But after having this Takamine for about 3 weeks……I may never buy a different brand.

This thing is so damn nice and sounds extraordinary. First guitar I’ve ever bought without playing it first. It’s got the best neck and playability of all the brands I own. I own

Yamaha
Fender
Ibanez
Alvarez
Gibson
And more

I also own a 1956 Gibson that is very valuable.

Btw, the recent years Japanese Fenders have come around in quality. The Japanese made Yamaha’s are very nice too. It’s not the same shit they were making 20 yrs ago.

Takamine has always been good from what I read. Lots of info including a factory tour on YouTube

Very nice collection, Ralph.

I did see that youtube video on the Takamine factory. i agree, they are a high quality instrument and currently own their GB72CE acoustic bass. Also have a Schecter Omen Extreme-4 bass. I find Schecters to be very well made and always set up perfectly. I had two Mexican made Fenders. One, a butterscotch Telecaster that was all but unplayable (purchased online, had a guy who set up Eric Claptons guitars try to work with it) and a Precision Bass that was outstanding. Sold the P-Bass to a guy in Norway and the tele to an amateur who fell in love with the price.

I play through a 20 amp Ampeg tube amp and a Phil Jones 4x7 cab. Lots of fun.

Right back at ya! I played with a few groups when I was young and bass players are to be admired. It’s not easy…….if the bass is too fast or too slow……the band is screwed. Good bass players are worth their proverbial weight in gold.

If you want tires that are all made in the USA, I believe it is now down to B.F. Goodrich only.

Impressive work Jay

As for you guitar nerds... you guys ever play out of a Roland Jazz Chorus amp? I still have a JC-90 in storage. It's by far been my favorite amp... always thought I needed to play out of a tube amp... but nope. That Roland JC is my favorite amp. It's just really clean.
