Have been getting mailings from a guy named Dan Pope, he has many systems for sale. Has anyone had any experience with this guy or any of his products?

I cannot get more than a couple of systems to work at once. I wonder how many he has that work.

I have a bucnh of his older booklets from Royal Turf. Never one to play a system, I do like to look at this kind of stuff to get ideas from the basic ideas they have. Not bad reading for "osmosis learning."

I never ordered from him (although I used to get his solicitations regularly). However, I have occasionally run into his items at used book stores and other venues where second-hand handicapping titles are available. Of those which I have seen, the most useful one I found was "Multiple-Selection Handicapping".

Dan, had a program for DOS several years back that rated each horse called Stretch Run. This is one of those pick line and type in type program.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. The last two mailings that I got from Dan were for "The Perfect Method",which promised 70% exacta and 57% trifecta hits and "John's Beyer Secrets" which had an Eastern edition, Midwest edition and both a northern and Southern California track edition. Each edition went for 50$, could run into a lot of money there, huh? I forgot, there is a "Cheap Track " edition, also. Of couse you could get all 5 editions for the bargain price of 125$. I didn't bite.

If you do a search on Dan Pope, you find that some posters here have a lot of good things to say about some of his methods, specifically his adjusted beyer formula ( I think). What's his return address, I might check it out.
