Does anyone know if there is a way to subtract days on Excel, using dates in the format of '20040829'?

Is this possible or not possible with this date format??

To be more clear, I am trying to subtract today's date from that date to find the # of days... (Somewhat of a DSLR number)

sq764,

Check out the following URL (http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datedif.htm (http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datedif.htm)).

Best wishes,

Thanks John...

Somehow, I just inadvertently figured out the right formula to convert:

=MID(CELL,5,2) & "/" & MID(CELL,7,2) & "/" & LEFT(CELL,4)

Then simply a 'today() - A2' for DSLR

Thanks again!

......................A1.........B1.........C1
Do it direct - 6/14/04 1/14/05 =B1-A1

Be sure to format C1 as a whole number.
