Poor start he had. Stuck behind dead wood. Rispoli ran a strategic race keeping Smith buried on rail. Baffert horses getting beat left and right. Overbet blunders.

he looked like a fairly small horse. he's not the type that i think will be they great on dirt, maybe turf though.

Wasn't Snow Chief pretty small? I watched the replay but due to cell internet,especially on weekends I have to keep the resolution
at 720P or lower. I could not tell how aggressively he was ridden late.
I can't believe the amount paid for horses these days, at $3 mil and change,
what are the chances of turning a profit?

what are the chances of turning a profit?SNOW CHIEF was trained by do your duty Mel Stute. i saw the horse before he ever ran in California and i think he was like this one. i was going to say that things were a little different than they are today mainly because of Lasix, but i won't use that one.

He didn't run that bad. Certainly with the price tag and trainer you hope to win first out, but this horse's breeding sure screams 2 turns rather than 5.5 furlongs. Won't write him off yet.
