Just watched Matt C. pick a $43 winner today in race 1 at Aqueduct (Miss Discover).A lot of people dont like him but the kid has B-lls.He sometimes comes across as cocky and brash. But his father taught him well.He does have a tendency to favor early speed, but percentage wise thats the name of the game. He's very competitive with his handicapping.Sometimes his picks peter out but when Matts hot he's always in the ballpark.Unlike some of his very CHALKY cohorts.

I recommend that he pick peter-in @ all times, and no going commando, either.

I never had a problem with Matt, because he is a HORSE PLAYER, not some guy who doesn't bet and had TV experience. He's given out a few picks where I've scratched my head and wondered how in the world he could pick that horse. Some of them, however, win, so when I had TVG, I'd always give the horse a second look.

I saw a scroll on TVG the other day that said that "Oatmeal Ed" died. Anybody see that? He was 55 yrs old.
