Hi

I need some help with a project I'm working on
I need to know the correct definition of CPR
from the Primary line score readouts

What I think it is

CPR Composite Pace Rating
a rating of the 3 fractions similar to total energy
but weighted LATE

am I close?
any help would be very appreciated

Thank you

Is this the CPR rating that is in Thoromation? Looks like a clone rating of Total Pace?
I remember it as a total energy number, but I don't recall it being weighted.
I'll check out my old seminar notes and see if I wrote down anything about that.

It's the same as Total Pace in earlier prgms.

Thank You
I still am not sure ....
this is what I have heard from V/DC
Messenger

"CPR - Composite Pace Rating. Seen only in the Pace Launcher series.
Comparable to SUSTAINED PACE in other programs."

"SP - The WEIGHTED value of a horse's Velocity and/or Energy; 2nd Call
plus 3rd fraction, AVERAGED."

2nd Call and 3rd Fraction. + = more weighted energy at the 2nd Call.
- = more weighted energy late."

The weighting would just about have to be on the late end, or you'd very
rarely have horses that ran late, except in turf routes.

and

CPR = EPR + LPR.

I believe EPR and LPR are developed generally along the lines as described
in 'Pace Makes the Race', with EPR being a point rating of the pace of the
horse (POH) in excess of a 2nd call par (4f and 6f in sprints and routes
respectively), and LPR being the POH rating for the 3rd fraction in excess
of a par for that fraction, at each distance.

CPR is just the sum of the 2.

So if I were to say in my project

EPR = Early Pace Rating - Start to 2nd Call
LPR = Late Pace Rating - 2nd Call to finish
CPR = EPR + LPR - A Total rating 2nd call + Late Pace

Would that be acceptable?

That sounds like what I remeber of the T-Mation version. It was added after the success of PAce Makes the Race and I believe the next generation of programs was PaceLauncher, which would be the evolution of it. T-Mation/KGen was my last stop in the series.
