Orange Bowl Broadcast - Any Comments ?

I thought the Orange Bowl TV Broadcast was pretty bad. Showing graphics instead of a replay after a great play. Showing head-on shots of replays is like seeing the head-on shot of a stretch run instead of the pan shot. Then the "aerial" angle, where you couldn't tell what was going on. And then there was the announcing.

I agree. That aerial cam sucks, esp on kickoffs. You have no clue as to the field position if the shot given is between the numberals. One kick off USC nailed an 0u return man and it barely showed the impactfrom that angle. ESPN ran it all year long, I wish they'd dump it.

Reminds me of nbc's failed "vomit cam" they had for the stretch run of the BC races a coupla yrs ago.

Did anyone catch the halftime show?? Is Ashlee Simpsons the absolute worst singer of all time, on any stage in any country in the entire world??

Unfortunately, I did catch Simpson at half time, she's TERRIBLE.

I woke up at 4am figuring I would watch the 2nd half of the game. I got up, struggled to the couch, and turned on the television just in time to see USC kick the field goal that put them up 38-10 just before the half. The half time show was awful, so I was back in bed 10 minutes later. I'm watching the game on replay now, and can see I didn't miss much.

Once I saw White throw a flat-footed duck of a pass while falling backwards, I knew it was going to be a blowout.. He looked awful..

College football games are way too long. It must've been around 5 hours from the start of the game to the end. Here's an idea the NFL uses to keep its games in the 3 hour area: don't stop the clock when a team gets a first down.
