Santa Anita Picks for Wednesday:

R1 #4 Mon Miel-Should move up with the claim by a juice trainer. Bred up and down to love the off going to boot. Expect a very short price here.

R2 #4 Smokesters Alle-Should be in a good spot behind the frontrunner here on the stretchout. Jock is decent with horses with early speed. Barn does well with the sprint/route move also.

R3 #12 Trish’s Diamond-Makes second start off a brief freshening and gets a surface he should move up on. Eurton has good win % on off going. Price should be ok.

R4 #3 Kedington-Bred for off going, he gets a substantial jock upgrade here.

R5 #1 More Modern-Comes out of race where a couple have returned to win. Pace looks to be honest in this heat and should help his cause. Offtrack breeding is a plus also.

R6 #7 Deja-Makes second start for outstanding barn. This runners best races come at this distance/trip so improvement is likely. Mud breeding adds to the picture also.

R7 #5 American Liberty-Versatile runner has run well fresh before. Has fantastic off track breeding and has been drilling well.

R8 #6 Snoden-Trainer/jock combo have an outstanding win % together. Like the breeding here too.
