no God on network TV

I heard that network TV showed National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation the other night and bleeped out "under God" when the old lady recited The Pledge of Allegiance. I'm not even religious, but that kind of pissed me off if it is true. Did anyone else hear about this ? Network TV will show a man's naked ass, but you cannot even mention God !

I was watching it and they cut out quite a bit. I wasn't listening for the "under God" part but I know they completely edited out Chevy Chase's profanity filled tirade and altered some of the words. I'm not for gratuitous profanity but those scenes needed it.

If this bleeping out of "under God" is true, I guess it goes completely against LJB and SECs warnings about how Bush was somehow going to turn this country into a "Born Again" oligarchy.

Oh well....so much for that!
