Shot Spotter is a new tecnological system being installed in Rochester, NY for implementation in about two weeks. This is a system that helped catch the Ohio sniper. Mltiple senors are palces on rooftops around the city, and then when gunshots are heard, the system can pinpoint where the shots originated and if two shot are fired together, it can even tell which was fired first. Only 11 cities in the country have this. Rochester is better known for its annual murder rate than anything else, so this is a good system to have I guess.
Many are hoping to document the day the mayor shots himself in the head when they reposses the "Fast Ferry." Hehehe.
