5th race Thursday at the Big A...tough race...DG has to run his best to beat the speed horse who might wire the field! But if he wins, he'll be the only horse in America with 10 wins in 2004!

Anybody who is there live is welcome to come to the pre-race paddock saddling as my guest! :D

I thought he was going to go in a NW1X going long. At this time of year, the 3YO 50K horses are probably better than the NW1X crowd. Looks like Fire Hero scratched out of yesterday's race to go there. In any event, good luck.

Storm -- good luck, but I don't like his chances, there's 5 equal or better horses in that field that he has to beat imo.

If CHELYAN can rough-up COINED FOR SUCCESS and your guy stays covered up and makes one run anything is possible.

Anyways-great claim and continued success

I never got to know any connections at Northern Ca where I live, so this may be a stupid question, but-- is there any special privileges for a paddock guest? Thanks!

Hi Ron

Way to go with Diligent Gambler....You are the epitome of class.l

I appreciate the way you took us into workouts when we were

at Saratoga...You deserve great success because I know you

are constantly striving to achieve excellence. By the way how

is the project going with treating the horse injuries with

modern technology going -- I have not heard anything more

about it....any successes you could tell us about ? In any

case please accept my congratulations and best wishes for

a great claim....10 wins would be a great picture to hang on the

wall....

Have a nice Thursday ---------;) ---------:) --------:D

Nice effort today tracking a suicidal pace.

Absolutely. Just a little more than a length out, hit the board again and you kept him which may be the best part of all.

When the clock strikes twelve on December 31st and he turns 4 he's worth a lot less money. The name of the game is making money and moving forward. There was little to no chance he would have been claimed, but if he had been, I'm guessing the champagne would have been flowing.

The speed figure for that race comes back right around par; my pace figures are in orbit. (The way I calculate my pace figs, it tends to throw less huge numbers, especially the 4f figures, than most of the other pace calculations that I've seen. But this one comes back Grade I/II calibre at 4f and Grade III at 6f. Dutrow's horse gave an unforeseeably monstrous effort on the front end... gee, have you heard that one before?)

Giant race by Star of Trieste. But then again, that elephant juice can do wonders.

There was a trainer with the initials DD who was using elephant juice. Several years ago, David Dotolo got a two-year suspension from Philly for torquing his horses with that stuff.

I will downgrade Star of Trieste's performance a bit because anything with speed from the rail today generally ran a strong race. (Even the horse that ran last in the feature put up a speed figure in his normal "good race" range.) Still a huge effort, though.
