Picks for Aqueduct Saturday:
R1 #1a Five Star Gold-Had troubled trips in his 2 starts. Switches to jock that is doing pretty well at this meet. May run better here with a clean trip. Entrymate adds to the appeal.
R2 #2 Bailero-Ran well last time battling on a rapid pace going longer. Winner of last returned to win at a higher level. Tagg does well with the route/sprint move.
R3 #3 Bartolo-Trainer/jock combo is a good one. Ambitiously placed in debut, he was in contention into the stretch. Should do better in this field at a price.
R4 #9 Golden Trieste-Was well backed in debut, where he was eliminated at the start. Has a nice drill since then, should be a decent price here.
R5 #2 Slippery Slick-Great spot for first try against winners. Should be right in the early mix from the rail.
R6 #4 Epic-Ran evenly while wide in his first start off the layoff. Has been drilling nicely since then, should run better here for barn that does very well with 2nd off layoff runners.
