As the immortal philosopher Butt-head once said

Beavis, I have seen the top of the mountain, and it is good

Integrated chat, exciting new functionality, a totally revamped "look."

All this and more will be coming to the message board and the entire website in the coming weeks. It's been a long time coming, and this place deserves top of the line software with top of the line features.....

But for now, I must get back to work.....

To quote two more great philosophers, Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar...

"WE'RE NOT WORTHY! WE'RE NOT WORTHY!"

Yeah, PA, we don't say thanks enough.
Thanks.

Integrated chat? What is that? Are we segregated now?

Ken, can't you chat in the War Room?

Zaf

Integrated chat means you will be able to chat inside the message board software itself. You would no longer have to go to the War Room and log on with a separate user name and password. And hopefully (I haven't seen it in action yet), this integrated chat will be nicer than the current War Room environment.

I concur with the accolades... best racing site about to get better!

Will the Selections Forum be friendlier so that a selections post can be updated with scratches, re-handicapped picks/odds, and finally with results?

I have been keen to start posting selections, but would like to be able to consolidate odds/scratches/results in one post that can be updated.

I just recently read an article in the December ATM about handicapping on the internet by George Kaywood where he gave mention to newsgroups.I'm quite surprised he didn't mention the class of the field,Paceadvantage.I'm thinking maybe Ill e-mail him about that.

Even if you didn't change one hair on your head , you would still be the best board out there. Good luck!

PA,
Thanks for being the gracious host on the best Handicapping board on the internet. With such a cross-section of people, you have had to provide the dynamic leadership to make this forum highly successful. We appreciate your guidance and now your vision for a new improved format.

Pace Advantage is usually the first website I go to whenever I get online. As it stands now, I would gladly pay a membership fee.

And it's about to get better, and for free. Wow!

Thanks PA, for the best site on the net.

Yeah, yeah, PA is great, blah blah blah...

The real question is will the archive of messages remain, or do I have to start looking up all the good ones and saving them locally instead of just doing a search? I use this place as a reference library of handicapping info...

PaceAdvantage

No change to the actual content of the message board. If all goes well (there are backups just in case it doesn't....lol), the only thing that will change is the look and the functionality....all the old posts will remain as is....

Once someone said, " Horseplayer's [Gamblers ] are lonely people who keep to themselves" WOW...was that guy wrong. I have made some good friends because of this board .Some of them I met in person and I am all the better for it.

Thanks...PA.
