OK Observer.
I downloaded one. Now how do I get it in the "Author Column"?

-Go to profile.
-Click on "edit options"
-Scroll to bottom of screen to Avatar
-Click the "change avatar" button
-On the next screen, make sure the "use custom avatar" is checked "yes"
-Then either enter the web address for the graphic, or use the browse feature to find where you've downloaded it in your computer.
Good Luck!

Thanl you Observer,
If you remember you were the one to teach me how to use this thing in the first place.
The avatar I chose kicked back with a prok\mpt that said too big for the space so I guess I have to chose another.

Always glad to help Whitehos! I think that little white pony is perfect for you!

Which was the one that didn't work?

The race horse didn't fit.
Thats not supposed to be a pony. It was the only white horse I could find.
Thanks a heap.

Your welcome, Trijack. Nice avatar! (By the way, wouldn't Avatar be a cool name for a racehorse?)

I don't know if I succeeded in adding animation to my profile.
This is a test.
If I succeeded, you should know that the reason I chose this particular animation goes back to the very first race I ever bet on more than 40 years ago. It was at Vernon Downs; a harness race. The horse my wife and I bet on, stopped in mid track and turned and tried to jump over the rail.
What an introduction to handicapping and horse racing.

Alright PA, you caught me .. thought the name sounded familiar as I wrote that, but kept going anyway. We're all entitled to one mistake, right?? :p
thoroughbred .. that's a funny story!

Observer:
Thanks for posting instructions for getting some "life" into our profiles. It makes getting on the message board even a bit more fun when we see what animations are being chosen.
Thanks again.

Glad I could help thoroughbred .. I'm finding the avatars pretty amusing myself!
Does anyone know what smf's avatar is supposed to be?? It sort of looks like a bale of hay stomping his feet!
:D
