Picks for Aqueduct Saturday:
R1 #5 Deputies Notebook-Had an eventful trip first out of the box. Bred for off and more distance, and Jerkens does well when the surface is off also. DD key.
R2 #8 Smart Babe-Drops and shortens, gets Gryders. Barn does well enough with the route/sprint move. Bred to like the off going also.
R3 #1a Sinister Lady-Dutrow has a stranglehold on this race, despite the McLaughlin runner. Both these runners are bred to move up with today’s conditions, so this looks like a pass race here.
R4 #1 Fifteen Wall-Showed good early speed in debut. Gets the rail and is bred for the off going. Odds should be decent.
R5 #1 Tale of Woe-Lightly race runner should move up with the switch to the Dutrow barn. Gets Bejarano and is bred to like the off going.
R6 #3 Soulshine-Like this FTS here. Bred OK for off, breeding ok for firsters also. Odds should be good.
R7 #9 Give and Take-Makes third start for new barn and gets a surface she is bred to love. Wake up call here with the off track.
R8 #1 Classic Endeavor-Responded well in first start for Dutrow. Controls the pace here and has won at this distance before.
R9 #5 Factual Contender-Has run two good ones since the layoff. Will be a big price here.
