I take it he isnt riding right now? How long has he been missing? Wonder if he is any relation to Dale Baird and if so, maybe he is at Mountaineer celebrating and not riding.

He is the son of Bobby Baird, who rode at the Chicago tracks many years ago. Rumor has it E.T. liked to party a bit, but it could also be an injury.

He's got what appears to be a live mount in todays fifth race at Hawthorne. I expect to get a price since he is only winning at a 5% percent clip on the year.

An angle that used to work w/ET was the speed and big time fade. A horse shows speed, he realizes it won't win so he "backs off". I'm not saying he's stiffing, but you get the feeling he wants to win or nothing at all. Calm Waters won on Friday, off a 20 length loss when ET rode. But for Friday's race, Sterling got the call and the win.
