Please, whatever I see today, don't let me see those fat, out of shape, 60 year old Dolphins popping champagne as the last undefeated team gets crushed today. I really hate that!

Amen.

I heard that the opponents composite win percentage of that 72 Miami team, excluding their games against Miami, was around 39%. That's terrible. A great team? Yeah probably. But a fraudulent 17-0? Very probable as well.

I think the yearly "toast" is just an excuse for those guys to have a drink together once a year. But to call that team and their achievement a fraud? Really? How about calling it what it really was - the greatest year a team has had in the history of sports.

Then again, all Dolphin fans are breaking out the champagne today - we may have a future again.

maybe this year, Wayne H won't ask us season ticket holders for the usual $3-7 yearly increase on tickets.

You really a Dolphin fan? I ask because most fans know who the owner of their team is.

The only way to avoid seeing them is to stay away from SportsCenter.

a Michigan guy owns them now, Steve Ross.

since Al Davis passed on i wondered who owned the Raider's, i guess its still in the Davis family.

How could you not know Steve Ross owned the fish? The guy has been all over TV in last 2 weeks.

Merc and the boys are warming up the bubbly!!!!! :jump:Wow, the resurrection of a nine year old thread for the 9-0 Chiefs? Where were you in 2005 when the Colts were 13-0? Or 2007 when the Pats were 18-0? Or 2008 when the Titans were 10-0? Or 2009 when the Colts were 14-0? Or 2011 when the Packers were 13-0? ;)

As an old-school Dolphins fan (VERY hard to be a new-school one :p ), I don't even break a sweat until the conference championship..

In all fairness to the poster who talked about Huizinga; the post was from 2004 and I believe Wayne did own the team at that time.

great point. I hadn't noticed. I hate bumping of old threads without saying that you are bumping an old thread.

On behalf of possibly highly-insulted bobbytabb (who hasn't posted since 2005), I just want to say that bobbytabb may see Tucker:6: in court! :D
