Nice to know I live in a 56% Bush county.
Actually, as I have advocated for years, if NYC were a sepreate state, we would all be better off. The state was more for Bush but was carried into the toilet thanks to one city.

If only congressional representatiion was allocated via counties or square miles of red or blue............and every congressman or senator was elected "at large."

I'm not sure about Hawaii, but all other states would be represented by Repubs. Even the Marylander who ran in Illinois would have handily won! ;)

Oh, I think I caught myself dreaming again.

in California Kerry only got a strong showing in the SF bay area.

It would have been more, but Kerry was way too moderate for them.:)

Mr. Keyes only won 9 counties state-wide. And I think the Republicans in those counties are calling for a recount:D

I was basing all on the presidential 2004 red/blue county map available at, among other places:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2004/countymap.htm

Also, that map clearly shows that Massachusetts and Vermont would have Dem representation, and I overlooked them. So, assuming that Hawaii has no counties (I don't know), Hawaii, Mass, Vermont and possibly Conn would be the ONLY Dem represented states.

Enuff of this nonsense.

Interesting to note that California had the lowest voter turnout at 38% and Minnesota had the highest at about 75%.
